Where Do I Find The Rules For The Presidential Debates? Do They Mention Use Of Electronic Devices?
I am trying to find the specific rules for the Presidential Debates. It appeared to me that Sara Palin was looking down at a Blackberry type device last night, based upon her body language and facial expressions. I am trying to determine if there was a rule in place prohibiting the use of electronic devices. Barak Obama appeared to do the same thing to me in the 1st Presidential debate. Thanks in advance.

Dec 26, 09 at 6:38 pmI’m pretty sure there is no specific rulebook on debates. The candidates sit down together, or a representative of the candidates, and they write the rules of the debate together before the specific debate. I tried to find the rules before the last presidential one but I was unsuccessful but they might be available now. I’m not sure I saw what you are talking about in either debate but best chances is that it is a timer for the argument or counter.
